At the monthly Ilembe Chamber Women in Business Networking morning that was held at the Zucca Restaurant in the Simbithi Business Park, Inspirational and motivational speaker, Lesa BRADSHAW, gave her audience a humorous, insightful account of what it had been like growing up with the genetic condition, Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Her catch phrase “aspire to inspire – before you expire” gave insight into her ability to make the most of life. Today, Lesa is an accomplished activist in disability integration, and runs a successful HR consulting business, with her speciality being Disability in the Work place.

Lesa was last month’s recipient of the Ilembe Chamber Margaret Hirsch Woman in Business award, which was won, this month, by Ashleigh Tutt, the founder and owner of BizziB Banting, a company that manufactures banting food and condiments. Ashleigh will be the Guest Speaker at the next Ilembe Chamber Women In Business Networking morning that will be held at Hirsch’s Ballito on September 8.

Veronica O’Dwyer, a lawyer with Wiesinger O’Dwyer Incorporated, who heads up the WIB steering committee, encouraged local business women to join the Chamber as regular events are held that will help them with their business. She also encouraged them to nominate themselves or an associate for the Ilembe Chamber, Margaret Hirsch Woman in Business Achiever award.
