Our client, a well-established company in the stainless steel industry, is currently seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Cash Sales Representative to join their team. This role is ideal for an individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced sales environment and has strong product knowledge within the stainless steel sector.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Respond to customer enquiries, prepare quotations, and convert quotes into
   sales.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to understand and support their
   ongoing requirements.
  • Manage counter and cash sales transactions, ensuring accurate processing
   of payments and cash balances.
  • Liaise with internal departments such as Sales, Stores, and Administration to
   ensure efficient order fulfilment.
  • Provide feedback to management and external sales teams regarding client
   enquiries and market activity.
  • Support pricing decisions, discounts, and delivery arrangements within
   approved parameters.
  • Ensure adherence to company procedures and maintain accurate sales
   documentation.
 
Minimum Requirements:
 
  • Matric, preferably with Mathematics, Science, or Business Economics.
  • At least 1 year of experience in the stainless steel industry with sound
   product knowledge.
  • Understanding of sales processes and customer service principles.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Knowledge of Great Plains or similar sales systems would be advantageous.
