Testimonials – Another happy BLC candidate

Another happy BLC candidate.

I heard about Bradshaw Leroux on the internet and about how they are disability inclusion specialists. I then attended a talk by Lesa Bradshaw, one of the owners of Bradshaw Leroux, who she spoke beautifully about disability inclusion in the workplace.

After hearing her, I thought I should pay them a visit. Upon arrival, myself and other candidates attended an empowerment session that consisted of disability awareness, educating us on what reasonable accommodation is and how to speak positively about our individual disabilities, short semi-formal interviews were conducted with us to find out what kind of people we are, our interests and careers we are most interested in.

The day finally came to an end with 30 second video of us per individual giving a brief, but detailed summary of our educational background, the nature of our disability and its functional impact, as well as the reasonable accommodation which we require from potential employers and finally our work experience.

Overall the one thing that I took away from Bradshaw Leroux firstly is that they treated us with so much respect and with such professionalism. Most importantly, growing up with a disability I had always thought of it as a ‘sickness’ of some sort but after spending time with them I learnt it is anything but, and that my approach ought not to be different or substandard.

I believe that when it comes to companies that deal with people with disabilities, Bradshaw Leroux is by far the best at what they do and not only are they relentless in the pursuit of assisting candidates with employment, but it’s a safe haven for people living with disabilities. I have since been placed by Bradshaw LeRoux consulting and am now employed! 😃🥰
